
Tammy Flanigan was born and raised in Mapleton and is a product of the Maple Valley School District. She attended college at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Briar Cliff University and graduated with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. In 1985 she started her banking career at First State Bank of Mapleton handling student loans, trust accounts, and new account responsibilities. In 1989 she began to focus on the consumer investment side of banking.
Tammy and her husband, Mike, have three sons and a daughter, all of whom attended Maple Valley- Anthon Oto schools. They are pleased to have seen Alex, graduate from UNO, Joey, graduate from ISU, and Angie, graduate from UNI and has her MBA from UNO. Their youngest son attends ISU as well. Go Cyclones!
Tammy has been extremely involved in her hometown. She has been on the Board of Directors of the Maple Valley-Anthon Oto School District for 17 years and is a member of the MVAO School Foundation and the Lloyd and Rachel Olson Charitable Trust that award scholarships to graduates of MVAO. She is a member of the Finance Board at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mapleton. For fun she has coached many youth athletic teams and the high school boys basketball team. She was a member of the Maple Valley Development Group when they spearheaded the new swimming pool project and helped pass a bond issue to build a new high school in 2001. In 2009 she earned the “Service Above Self” Award from the Mapleton Rotary for her commitment and service to her community.
As a Financial Advisor, Tammy is committed to educating her clients on the products that will help them reach their financial goals and focuses on clients understanding how to reduce the risks associated with investing. She holds her Series 7, 63, 66 registrations and life, health, and variable insurance licenses. Her desire is to help people save for retirement, college, and all of their dreams in between. Tammy has a broad range of investment and insurance options available to help her clients reach their goals in every stage of their lives.
